In Your Community

Our Outreach Ministries coordinate all of our efforts for serving in our community. Working with various groups and ministries, the Outreach team lets us know about local needs, how to get involved, and even gives training if we need it. Their goal is to help us meet local needs so that Christ’s love is shared in real and practical ways.

Some on-going serving areas include:

Get Out! Saturday

First Free volunteers spend the day serving the community in a variety of ways - yard work, minor home repairs, rehabbing with a sister church in the city, preparing meals for police and fire fighters - blessing our community and showing others the love of Jesus.

English as a Second Language (ESL)

Informal conversational classes are offered Wednesday evenings throughout the school year for anyone interested in improving his or her English skills; groups are formed around speaking ability; many different nationalities are represented.

Walk-In Closet

Held in the Fall and Spring, free clothing and small household items are offered to all who need it.

Life Team

The First Free Life Team helps people develop a biblical worldview with respect to life issues. They also provide support for those inside and outside of the church who are dealing with life issues. The First Free Life Team partners with and supports other life-oriented organizations in our community, including: Bethany Christian Services, Center for Bioethics and Culture Missouri, Guys for Life, and ThriVe St. Louis.

Jubilee Community Church

First Free partners with this sister church, striving to make a difference in the north St. Louis city area by ministering to the direct needs of the surrounding community.

Sunshine Ministries

We work together with this inner city organization serving the homeless and needy by helping with food drives, leading a chapel service for homeless men once a month and assisting with children’s Christmas party.
