We’d love to help you find the place where you can use your gifts and talents like nobody else! There are lots of opportunities for you to try, and we have people ready and willing to help you connect your unique abilities to a First Free ministry.

Kid Connection

If you’re interested in finding out more about serving in Kid Connection, please fill out this interest survey. We’ll contact you to answer any questions you may have and help you know where you might join in.

Small Group Teacher
Prepares and presents age-appropriate lessons and activities on Sunday mornings (one hour). Teachers build relationships with their students on Sundays and at occasional special events.

Large Group Teacher
Prepares and presents age-appropriate lessons for large groups of students on Sunday mornings (one hour).

Classroom Helper
Offers support to teachers (can be a teen or adult). Helpers build relationships with students and contribute to students’ safety by keeping classroom “two-deep” at all times.

Drama/Music/Technical Support
Opportunities for actors, vocalists, instrumentalists, sound and lighting technicians, photographers/videographers and artists.

Sunday Coordinator
Coordinators lead and oversee a group of volunteers on Sunday mornings. They encourage their team and join with their staff supervisor in planning.

KC Friend
Offer support to children with special needs and help them integrate into class as much as possible.

Awana Leaders
Interact with students in small groups on Wednesday evenings. They play games, listen to children recite Bible verses, and shepherd them throughout the evening.

Sunday Administrative Support
Provides Sunday morning support to welcome visitors, signing in and out of elementary students, and help ensure student safety.

Weekday Administrative Support
Supports the ministry in a variety of ways, including: mailing preparation, decorating bulletin boards, gathering teacher supplies, helping with special events, etc.

Christmas Dessert Theatre

This event will take place in December and help is needed in many areas:

  • dramatic or musical role
  • sewing costumes
  • building or painting scenery
  • sound and lighting, stage crew
  • hosting a table
  • decorating tables
  • serving dessert
  • parking lot attendance, etc.

Guest Connection

Traffic Team
Makes people feel welcomed even before they get out of their cars and ensure safety and provide directions in the parking lot.

Greeters
Greeters are passionate about extending genuine hospitality to every person that walks through our doors. Greeters want people to know “we’ve been expecting you!” 

Ushers
This team is vital to ensuring a smooth flow to the worship service, being alert to assist wherever needed before, during and after each service.

Auditorium Hosts
The Auditorium Hosts are serious about building relationships. They meet and find out if people need help connecting with First Free beyond the Sunday services.

Guest Center
The Guest Center team provides a dedicated and comfortable place for guests to engage in friendly conversation and ask any questions they may have.
