First Free desires to have an intentional ministry of care and encouragement for those who compose our missionary family. Here is a brief look at how you can participate. If you'd like more information or have other ideas, please call Cathy Nelson at 636.779.2187 (Missionary Care and Equipping) or email cnelson followed by @efree.org.
-
PRAYER – all missionaries need to be covered extensively in prayer by those who remain at home. It’s been said that the average “home team” for most missionaries is around 100 people! Perhaps God would have you to partner with our missionary family through faithful intercession.
-
CARE – missionaries serve and pour their lives out, but also need to be cared for and shepherded! First Free desires to have an intentional ministry of caring for our sent workers. This includes birthday and anniversary cards, sending sermon tapes, care packets, helping them ‘come home’ by assisting with transportation, housing, and connecting them to our First Free family when they visit St. Louis, and much more.
-
GIVING – all First Free long term missionaries serve under the umbrella of a mission sending agency (such as the Evangelical Free Church International Mission, Campus Crusade, Child Evangelism Fellowship, etc.). These non-profit organizations require that their mission staff develop a team of financial supporters who, through their sacrificial giving, help to send the missionary.
