Elementary Small Groups meet each Sunday morning at the 9:00 hour from early September through the first week in June.  Children in grades 1-5 convene in the safe and loving environment of a small group of 8-10 other children of the same grade/age level led by trained leaders.  Some groups also include trained teen helpers.  First through third grade groups are of mixed genders and fourth and fifth grade groups are either exclusively boys or girls.

The children begin their morning by gathering in their small groups, then proceed to a time of large group teaching where they are presented with the main Scripture lesson for the morning in a variety of exciting formats.  The children then have the opportunity to discuss and apply the lesson by interacting with their small group leaders and the other children in the group.  The leaders help the children grasp what it means to know Christ personally and come alongside them as they strengthen their faith in the Lord.

Elementary Small groups are a place where each child can be discipled and build a relationship with a spiritually mature adult leader.  With the goal of encouraging children towards spiritual growth, the small groups provide an atmosphere where the children can be open to discuss personal applications of God's Word and begin to apply them in their everyday lives.
