January, 1983
Five families, (The Kerls, Welschs, Sebastians, Brightups and the Josts) begin meeting for Bible study and fellowship.

June 19, 1983
First official worship service of First Evangelical Free Church in rented facilities of Des Peres Presbyterian Church.

July 17, 1983
First Free officially adopted into the Great Lakes District of the Evangelical Free Church of America.

July 19, 1984
Michael P. Andrus called as first Senior Pastor.

October, 1984
First Free moves to Sanford Brown Business College, with 110 regular worshipers. Pastor Mike arrives in late October.

May, 1986
First Free moves to Westminster Christian Academy, with 250 regular worshipers.

August, 1992
First Free moves into our own building at 1375 Carman Road in Manchester, with 750 regular worshipers.

February, 1996
Congregation approves Ministry Expansion concept.

November, 1997
Ground breaking for Ministry Expansion.

October, 1998
First Free completely maxed out of available space with 2,000 worshipers.

December, 1999
New 117,000 square foot building opens for first services on Christmas Eve.

February, 2004
Senior Pastor Michael P. Andrus retires after more than 20 years of service as the founding Pastor of First Free.

December, 2005
New Senior Pastor, Bill Jones,  joins First Free
